And This Is Why You Shouldn’t Get Sick In America

Many believe that the US healthcare system is the best in the world. Not so according to the World Health Organization’s ranking of the world’s health systems. The US doesn’t even rank in the top 25. It ranks 37th and is the most expensive in the world. I would argue that even if we had the best healthcare system in the world, what good is it, if no one can afford to access it.

Most companies are buying 60/40-policys for their employees these days, but even if you are lucky enough to have good insurance with 80/20-policy coverage, that 20 percent your responsible for can drive you right into bankruptcy as easily as the 60-40 policy given the cost of healthcare.

Insurance cost have been going up dramatically in the last two decades, long before the new Affordable Healthcare Act has taken affect, in some cases as much as 35% per year.

But have you noticed the latest trick the insurance companies have roll out?

Yes, Higher Deductible… most averaging $5,000 per year, per person, but I have seen some as high as $10,000 per year. For those of you that are wondering, this tactic is specifically designed too stop you from using your insurance. It reduces the insurance companies out of pocket liability by shift costs onto consumers, especially those dealing with chronic illness such as diabetes and arthritis. Consequently, because consumers can’t afford the deductible they will avoid necessary care to save money.

Although insurance companies are a problem, the real crook is the healthcare system it self. A corrupt and bloated system desperately in need of reform!

OKAY SO I KNEW THAT TECHNICALLY IN AMERICA THAT YOU PAY FOR HEALTHCARE BUT LIKE THE IDEA IS SO BIZARRE TO ME THAT I’D NEVER CONSIDERED THAT YOU’D GET… A BILL?????? FOR BEING…. ILL?????????? I LITERALLY DON’T

how can anaesthetic cost that much??

how is this legal??

WHAT? And I thought having to pay £7 ($11.55) for stronger prescription allergy meds instead of £4 ($6.60) for the less effective store-brand ones was ridiculous.

You have to pay for the ambulance!?

This is JUST the ambulance. With insurance.

And so many Americans are against free health care. I know one who is against it simply because they don’t want to wait longer in the waiting rooms and they think they won’t properly be taken care of.
Idk I’m from Canada and I would rather wait 2-10 hours in a waiting room over paying thousands.
And I can assure you you’re taken care of just as well.

This is why I don’t go to the hospital.
Unless I’m very close to death do not call me an ambulance. Drive my ass, of I’m bleeding out in your car I can buy you a whole new fucking car for the price of an ambulance ride.

Just get a shotgun and refuse to pay the bill. Send the collectors. Send a bunch

just move!

MODERNITY IN SHAPING THE STATUS OF AFRICA Both Cost 150,000 US Dollars.

gtfohhhhhhhh

Soo does a man come with the Nigerian house or nah?

Dang

Man usually comes with the house but there are some for the single lady’s.
Seriously our house in Lagos is about this big. America doesn’t know jack about “third world” countries.

errrr… yah. but then you wake up and you’re in Africa.. its not just about the square footage or amenities of a home but you must consider the neighborhood.. do i feel safe with who is living next door? is there clean, running water? is there wildlife to be concerned with? what are the roads like? and seriously most importantly DO I HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET. I AM NOT DOWNGRADING TO 56K. NEVER AGAIN

Okay, so I see I need to give a geography lesson, let’s see if I can say this humanly

1. The OP said Nigeria NOT “Africa”
2. “Consider the neighborhood”? What kind of IS is that?! People are PEOPLE wherever you go. You have your rich you have your poor. You have your smarts, and you have people like you that spout IS.
3. Seriously, roads?

THIS IS LAGOS, NIGERIA HIGHWAYS…Looks a lot like LA…HMMM.

4. Wildlife? We have wildlife in the states; bears, deer, my mother saw a coyote outside her office window and she works 20 minutes away from downtown. What are you suggesting?
5. Lastly this is the stupidest thing. Internet. Is it not the Nigerians coning your gullible American asses out of your life savings. So much you it has cause alarm, and has government protocol so your stupid grandmother does send her savings thinking she can get rich quick. I think Nigeria has Internet and HIGH SPEED under control
I suggest you read, adsorb, learn and apply. Before spouting off about “Africa” again. =_=

TELL ‘EM

this entire thread tho’
I mean you don’t risk being randomly shot by a psycho going to the mall and shit like that in ‘Africa’.
